Arrival: About an 8 km long gravel road (barriers). For last 400 m are accessible only with an off-road vehicle. If necessary, the landlord will assist you with the luggage transport of the last 400 m.

High up in Zederhaus Right at the top is always the nicest place to be
For those who want to escape everyday life, the rustic “Lerchneralm” is just the right place, standing in a wonderful location at 1740 m in the Lungau, in the Salzburger Land. Here amongst the bright colours of the Alpine meadows, with the whistling of the marmottes, the mooing of the cows and the clanging of their bells (the owner’s farm is next door), you know that you are several steps closer to nature and are somewhere where you can totally relax.
The hut is mostly constructed of wood, and retains its original charm, giving you a feeling a bit like “Heidi and Peter” up in the mountains. The living room/kitchen is simply equipped, though has the typical flair of an Alpine hut, with a cosy banquette seating area and a wood-burning stove. This stove exudes a homely warmth on colder spring or autumn evenings, and there is a supply of wood in front of the hut. Enjoy conjuring up tasty culinary delicacies with friends using freshly gathered berries, mushrooms, and herbs. The cool box in the garden spring is a great place to cool your drinks. If you don’t fancy cooking, then pay a visit to the “Bartlalm”, just 1 km away.
At the end of an exciting day’s hiking in the mountains, the “solar powered garden shower” provides a perfect kind of refreshment. The barbecue area in front of the hut is wonderful for rounding off lovely days together.
Just a step away from the hut door and you find yourself surrounded by impressive scenery, and can enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains. The Felskarspitze, Weisseck, and Plankowitzspitze mountains and the Mühlbachsee lake are all within 1 to 2 hours’ walk.
Tip: The Riedingtal is always worth a visit: the Schliereralm at the Schliersee lake. It is easy to get to using the public bus service (from the Riedingtal toll point) or by car. Not far from the guest house is the “Naturparkhaus” where visitors can find out all about the culture, nature, facilities, and events in the Riedingtal region.
