Hut for up to 5 people at 1414 m
3-room hut over 2 floors, approx. 55 m², 2 bedrooms, radio, cellar, furnished terrace, stone barbecue, spring with trough, open-air solar shower, sunshade, wood store, storeroom.
Energy: Photovoltaic system (to be used only for light and radio, no plug sockets)
Heating: Wood-burning stove
Water: Drinking quality water spring, hot water from wood-burning stove attachment
Location: Sunny mountain location in the Forstbachtal Valley; on rare occasions, the neighboring hut is occupied by the owner.
Altitude: 1414 Hm
Arrival: To the farmyard of the renter. This accompanies the guests then to the hut. The journey takes place via a unpaved forest road.

Pure nature and in the footsteps of gold panners
Family, hiking, or simply relaxing holidays in one of the most beautiful valleys in the province. The hut stands in a sunny mountain location in a side valley. Rauris became well known amongst other things for its gold deposits, and panning for gold can still be done today.
Return to nature and enjoy the tranquillity and simplicity of coming to rest. The Salchegg Alm has reached the ripe old age of over 300 years; dark, almost black wood dominates its rustic little dining room, and old beams criss-cross the building. Some of the interior has been lovingly renovated, carefully retaining many original elements in the process. The mix of new, light-coloured wood and the old, dark wood gives the heart a unique, homely atmosphere.
You don’t have to sacrifice the comforts of light, radio, and WC when staying here, and there is a solar shower outside. Groceries can be kept cool either in the natural coolness of the cellar, or cin a sealed container in the trough of the spring.
Tip. Literally enjoy golden moments by keeping your eyes peeled for glittering gold when panning for it in Rauris. There are 3 possible gold panning spots where you can try your luck, with professional help if you like.
