A real jewellery box In the Gastein Valley
This comfortable alpine hut was newly built in 2007 with lots of wood in regional style. From the sunny terrace you have a marvellous view over the Gastein Valley!
The popular mountain hut fulfils all the wishes of a mountain hut and much more:
- The wood-burning stove typical of the region exudes cosy warmth on chilly holiday days and ensures romance in winter.
- The typical stove bench in the cosy parlour is much sought-after and a favourite spot for Almliesl guests.
- The modern kitchen makes every hobby chef's heart beat faster, even when the owner tempts you with delicacies from his restaurant.
- The new sauna hut is a great place to relax after a strenuous hike as well as after a freezing cold day of skiing.
Wood is the dominant building material from nature. The pleasant fragrance revitalises the individual rooms. Parquet floors, cosy solid wood beds and the rustic seating area in the spacious living area are evidence of great craftsmanship.
Winter holiday in the charming mountain hut
4 different ski areas with 200 km of perfectly groomed pistes and an extensive network of cross-country ski trails will inspire you here in the Gastein Valley. In winter, snow conditions permitting, experienced skiers have the opportunity to ski directly from the piste back to the hut. Atmospheric Christmas markets and cultural highlights such as the traditional Pärchtenläufe provide an unforgettable holiday atmosphere. The location of the hut invites you to discover the winter landscape with snowshoes and touring skis.
Summer holidays in Gastein
It doesn't get boring in summer either. A sunbathing lawn with sun loungers, garden furniture and barbecue area offer time to switch off and relax at the end of an eventful day. Children love spending time on the mountain pasture. Meadows and woods offer plenty of space for romping and exploring. Computers, TV and mobile phones are no longer an issue here - nature offers much more excitement and action. Hiking and mountain bike tours start directly from the hut door. Come to the owner's mountain hut. The Wiedner-Alm at 1,770 metres is popular for its local delicacies and delicious organic products. A visit pays off!
Our tip: Don't forget to visit the owners' inn - the Schmaranz-Bräu. The home-brewed beer and regional specialities are well known here!
